A lot has happened……

A lot has happened at Straightpoint over the last few weeks, here is our monthly round up!

CFT Offshore gets their Straightpoint Mugs
Our distributor CFT Offshore sent us some great photos of our load cell shackles in use.
They are used when pulling cables up at the offshore wind farm substations.
Take a look at these great photos showing them in action.

 New Distributor in Spain
We’re pleased to have a new distributor in Spain. Cargo Flet Blasant and its sister company OC Worldwide, manufacture and distribute a range of high quality lifting and tying products for many industrial activities. They decided to expand the range of their lifting safety products this year and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with Straighpoint.

Their online catalogue has just gone live and can be viewed at http://cfblasant.com/straightpoint/.

Saudi Arabia Dealer
We are pleased to announce that NTE Projects has been chosen as our distributor for the Saudi Arabia market.
They will be the sole and exclusive distributing agent for Straightpoint, dealing with marketing, selling and distributing all the products that we offer in that market place. You can check them out at www.nteprojects.com

LifTex 2013

liftex2013Straightpoint will be exhibiting at LiftEx again this year. The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) is established across the globe as the leading representative body for all those involved in the lifting industry worldwide.

This will be our 8th year exhibiting at this industry event organised by the LEEA.
Liftex is an important part of Straightpoint’s marketing and sales strategy because it gives us the excellent opportunity to meet with our regular customers and receive feedback about our service. It also gives us the chance to reach new potential clients and distributors. Find us on Stand 60.

To find out more about the LEEA please visit their website www.liftex.org.

I haven’t posted a full blog in a while…

..so I thought I’d pick out the most varied news and stories from the last few weeks.

Executive Hire Show a Success

Thanks to those of you who came to see us at our Executive Hire Show stand in Coventry recently.  We were also delighted to be selected for the ‘innovation trail’, highlighting the fact that we were showcasing innovative products  (we gave live demonstrations of our brand new wireless centre of gravity system, using our popular wireless compression loadcells).

Heads up on loadcells being launched in May!

WLS wireless loadshackle

WLS wireless loadshackle

I thought I’d give you the heads up on a range of re-engineered shackle loadcells we’ll be launching in May 2013, including a new design and specification.
Previously, the shackle loadcell range was made to order, but due to re-engineering, we can now supply them next day, which is a bonus for ad hoc projects or last-minute requirements.

The benefits of these loadcells are that they have no external antennae and they include an industry-leading battery life so the safety readings don’t run out half way through a project!  In addition, they are designed to connect to a range of wireless products and software, which allow for data logging and printing of reports.

The rest of my news can be summed up in picture format…
